| Duration: 2 days approx. 9:30 Day 1 — 16:00 Day 2 Day 1: 9:30 Depart International Ferry Terminal or your local pick up point of your choice. We head west along the route of the Roman Wall to the town of Hexham after which we take a picturesque route through the River Allen gorge, rising up onto the Pennines to Alston. From here we travel over the Hartside Summit and down the western side of the Pennines through beautiful villages and on to Penrith, the gateway to Lakeland. From Penrith we travel to Pooley Bridge and take in the north end of Ullswater before travelling down Ullswater through lakeside villages, over the Kirkstone Pass descending towards Windermere along some of the most inspiring landscapes. ![]() After taking in Windermere we head north again, calling in to the idyllic village of Grasmere to visit Wordsworth's grave and the Daffodil Garden before heading past Helvellyn and on to Keswick. We leave you to spend an evening of tranquility at a traditional inn, which we can book for you at our preferential rates, where you may relax with some choice real ales, or our experienced guide will be happy to recommend a restaurant to your liking. ![]() Day 2: 10:00 We will meet with you on the following day to spend a few hours either sightseeing from the vehicle or alternatively taking in a short guided low level walk. Keswick has plenty of opportunities for whatever you may wish to do, from a short guided walk to Friars Crag to a more relaxing wander around this wonderful market town, the choice is yours. If you would prefer to stay with the vehicle we can take you on a journey by road around Derwent Water and into the 'Jaws of Borrowdale', or a truly exhilarating drive over Honister Pass. The choice is entirely up to you and we would encourage you to discuss your itinerary with your guide that you may enjoy your tour to the full. We leave the Keswick area at 14:30 hours for a leisurely drive back to the International Ferry Terminal or your chosen drop off point on Tyneside. The cost of this Tour is £150 per vehicle per day; we can carry up to six passengers per tour, equivalent to £50 per person for two days (excluding accommodation or meals). If you wish to book our recommended Bed and Breakfast traditional inn accommodation through ourselves, this can be arranged.
